Professional Meaning-Centered Counseling for Individuals
I believe that the capacity and potential to change is within every person. I work in partnership with clients to develop a deeper understanding of individual strengths, personal challenges, and inner wisdom to facilitate moving through life authentically with a sense of meaning and intention. My approach is integrative within existential, interpersonal , humanistic, and mindfulness-based traditions, with an emphasis in developing insight, awareness and empathy for self, living in the present moment, and finding personal meaning. I am deeply respectful of each individual’s process in therapy. My counseling style is contemplative, creative, warm, down-to-earth, and tailored to clients' individual needs.
When you choose me to be your counselor, you can trust that:
o We will go at a pace that is comfortable for you that honors your individuality and autonomy.
o I will always come to our sessions with an attitude of respect and unconditional acceptance for a fellow human being.
o I will help to protect, nurture, and support your authentic self so that you can safely experiment with making the changes you desire.

Specializing in Chronic Illness, Depression, Anxiety, Addictions and Spirituality
Adults & Couples ~ Elders
As a Counselor I am kind, experienced, resourceful, and challenging. Some of my favorite phrases are “try it on for an experiment” and “willing suspension of disbelief”.
I believe in working in the here and now, unless the past is complicating your present. I do shorter term counseling. My original training was in Gestalt and I have kept up with our growing knowledge of psychology, counseling and neuropsychology. I will be able to point out some more efficient and fun ways to get to where you want to go. I have learned much from my clients over the years.
We live in a changing world with resource depletion, and economic crises affecting our
minds and spirits. I include that awareness in my individual counseling.
I see individuals and couples, heterosexual, lesbian and gay. I have a great deal of experience working with the chronically ill, the elderly and their families, depression, anxiety, and addictions. I also support clients as they explore issues of spirituality. I believe in and practice
Successful Aging to enjoy the fullness of life.
I have a sliding fee scale from $40 to $80 an hour. You decide what you think is fair to pay.
