ADULT BACKPACKING THERAPY ADVENTURE

August 9-17, 2008 in the Northern Washington Cascade Mountains

ANXIETY AND OCD GROUP

This is a weekly therapy group for adults suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and/or related anxiety disorders; such as, Social Anxiety, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and Hyponchondriasis. This group is led by a skilled therapist, Danielle Lieb-Foley, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a modality that has repeatedly been shown to be the most effective treatment for OCD and related anxiety disorders. This group requires an evaluation prior to participation. TRICHOTILLOMANIA AND COMPULSIVE SKIN-PICKING GROUP

This is a weekly therapeutic/support group for adult women suffering from compulsive skin picking and/or hair pulling. The group is led by an experienced therapist, Danielle Lieb-Foley, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Habit Reversal Training. This group requires an evaluation, free of charge, prior to participation. Sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-8:45pm at our downtown office at 37 SW Jefferson. Group Therapy top

Group therapy can be an exceptionally beneficial and cost-effective model of therapy. At Wise Counsel & Comfort, we currently have one therapy & support group for teenage girls. It is facilitated by Megan Turecek, LCSW, who can be reached by phone at 503-961-4254.
